Nominations are open for the NES2 Hall of Fame, which honors NES homebrews—including original titles, ports, and “complete” hacks—published from 1996 onward.
UPDATE: An astonishing *70 different NES2 games* now appear in NES2 HOF voter slates. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the number hits 100 before the May 31, 2022 close of this first opening voting period!
i.e. I really do want folks to be able to make edits (and one reason that supplemental voting will be officially allowed/encouraged at some point via a separate post is that I don't want any game—e.g. the games that come out later this year—to be disadvantaged!). So I am going to be establishing some very dense personal recordkeeping to track amendments/updates over time. Fortunately, I used to do informal rankings of this sort as a data journalist in the 2010s, so I have some experience with it.
PS If you like Street Fighter 2: Nostalgic Edition, you are really really really going to want to see the new Ports ranking coming out in May (via the Top 500 NES Homebrews). A lot of surprises are incoming!
Get this, all: *46 different NES2 homebrews* have been voted for already... and we haven't even reached 10 eligible ballots yet!
