The Goodnight Playlist, Vol. 13

These Retro-exclusive ten-song YouTube playlists offer a former-DJ-curated mix of contemporary genres. I hope you enjoy the music—and as ever, “sleep well and wake brave”!

{Note: This series offers ten-track selections of contemporary music. Many of the songs in the series previously appeared on the Twitter feed linked to Retro. Songs first released prior to 1973 will appear in RETRO’s ongoing “Lost Classics of the 1960s” series, instead. Because I have an eclectic taste in music, the songs below do hail from a wide variety of musical genres!}

While my expertise when I was a disc jockey was in American and British psychedelic music released between 1965 and 1972, I’ve been thrilled to have the opportunity to use Twitter and other social media platforms to share the hundreds of songs of more recent vintage that I encountered in my years of collecting music as well as during and after the time I spent spinning discs on the radio. I hope these playlists will start new conversations—including giving members of the Retro community a chance to share their own favorite songs.
